Engine Performance problem
1997 Jeep Wrangler 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

my jeep wrangler has 90,000 miles .I( always did what the manuel says to do when you reach a certe an milage.Just had new spark plugs and ignition wires put in as part of 90,000 tune up, runs great .My question is should Ihave the timing belt replaced,all web sites say at 90,000 miles its amust.What is your opinon.

See my profile Some rigs say 60,000 miles Probably a little less expensive now, Than when you "SHELL OUT" your entire valve train, pistons hitting valves ETC. When Mr. Belt Flies Loose! Not to mention this will occurr when you are many miles from home, delivering Aunt Sadie's Triplets, on some dirt road---Just after the Cell Tower got hit by lightening! Sounds like BIG $$$ to me! WWTD? He would make that a Priority, if it was his rig! Fortunately Turddogs rigs are Timing Chain on the '77 and Gear on Gear on the '46 Respond Love, Turddog
