hello thanks for taking the time to read my question. My jeep has 206k, for the last couple of months the check engine light will show up and stay on for about 3 or 4 days and go away. During one of those days the engine will almost kill out for about 2 or 3 miles. Then it will run fine for weeks. Then it starts all over again. Thanks.

Here is what to do. Take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. If the light has been on, there will be a trouble code stored in the computer. Most of the parts store will do it for free, so there is no money out of pocket for you.

Once you get the codes, let me know what they were and then I can help you fix the problem.
