Drive Train Axles Bearings problem 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 130000 miles

Sometimes I have a problem getting the rear to unlock when I tow it behind my motor home. I put the trans and 4WD in neutral and obviously disengage the E brake. What am I doing wrong?

Saw you been unanswered for a little while. See my profile. I am a great CJ troubleshooter/ repairer. I frequently scan Jeep questions for some I may be capable of giving a correct or maybe where to get your answer. I am unfamiliar with your particular rig, been wanting one just for some A/C !

I do understand some other 4WD systems. Is your rig equipped with some special 4WD system or is it like CJs.2HI.4LOW.4HI?

When my CJs are in Transfer case NEUTRAL and Tranny NEUTRAL. My rear driveshaft. STILL TURNS when the rear wheels turn. (My front would do the same if my MANUAL LOCKING HUBS were ENGAGED)

IS THIS YOUR ISSUE?

The only way to prevent driveshaft(s) from turning the INTERNALS of the TRANSFER CASE is to REMOVE THE SHAFT(S)

As I did my rear one, when I pulled my 1946 Willys from AR to SC, on a dolly. Due to wife at the time (X), finding that SPECIAL person she was searching for, I guess I was JUST THE TEMPORARY FIX !
