We just purchased a 1994 Jeep Wrangler Renegade. I have noticed that when it has been parked for a few hours/overnight, when I start the engine it leaks gasoline. I haven't seen it leaking, only saw the stain on the ground and trail of gasoline when I take off. Any ideas?

Had the same problem on my 95. Source of problem was that the two metal stems on the fuel pump mounting plate that is located on the top of the fuel tank. They had corroded and were leaking where they are attached to the mounting plate.

Best source for parts was a bone yard as I tried 3 aftermarket pumps with hangar assemblies and none fit properly. If your pump and sending unit are good then you can get by taking those parts off and putting the on a new hangar assembly or a used hangar assembly from a junk yard ar someone who is selling parts (might have to buy a used fuel tank to get this like I did but only paid $20 for all)
