See my profile, Probably not your pedal sticking ? !,

Not familiar with your rig. In a CJ (others) there is a bracket near the top of the pedal, in it is a Momentary contact switch, when the pedal is depressed, the inner button of the switch springs out (brake lights now ON).

The thing about the switch in a CJ is :

Sometimes the "Plastic Adjustment Threads" on the switch Body will slip thru the hole on the bracket, letting the switch move away from the pedal.

Wha-Lah the plunger sticks out, pedal is up (brake lights should be off) But the brake lights are ON.

RE-ADJUST the switch (I removed mine, sandwiched the bracket with 2 nuts, on the switch threads)......Wrangler may not work the same.

Reply with findings.
