1994 Jeep Wrangler can only drive up to 15 miles an hour

i have a 95 jeep wrangler and recently i can only drive up 15 miles an hour and i can see my rpm's shooting up i dont know whats wrong, my dad said my trans is messed up and needs to be rebuilt . is this true??? and how much would this cost??

Well that sounds like where your going. Sounds like the tranny is slipping badly. Check around for a reputible shop and have them diagnose it for you. Let us know how it comes out. Curt
