Notes The ignition switch is mounted on the lower portion of the steering column and is connected to the steering lock by a remote actuator rod. REMOVAL Disconnect battery ground cable. Remove lower instrument panel trim panel, if equipped. Place ignition in Off-Unlock position and remove switch attaching screws. Disconnect switch from control rod and electrical connector from switch, then remove switch from steering column. INSTALLATION Move switch slider to Accessory position. Engage remote actuator rod into switch slider and position ignition switch onto steering column. Do not move switch slider when positioning ignition switch onto steering column jacket. Install and torque switch retaining screws to 35 inch lbs. Connect electrical connector onto switch. Connect battery ground cable and check ignition switch for proper operation. Install lower instrument panel trim panel, if equipped
