1992 jeep wrangler

Hello Everyone,
Today, when I placed my 1992 wrangler into part time 4wd from full time 2wd, the indictor light on the dash panel did illuminate. My jeep did operate properly between 2wd hi, 4wd hi, 4wd low, but again no indictor light. ( manual transmission)

if it works OK then maybe its the bulb in the dash

is there some type of sensor on the gear box that i should look at.
