1990 Jeep Wrangler V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i have a jeep with a chevy 350 and when i start it it will idle fine but when you push the gas it either quits or pops and backfires

Have these components checked-throttle position sensor/MAF/MAP sensors to include a fuel pressure check.
