Electrical problem
1989 Jeep Wrangler 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 200K miles

When I try to start the vehicle, all I get is the clicking of the silonoid. I replaced the starter, battery, positive cable....same problem. It's been driving fine, I did not get any indications of a problem such as hard start. The motor will not turn over at all, just the clicking from the silonoid. I cannot figure this one out. The guys at the parts store are stumped as well. Someone mentioned shiming the starter, but it's been running great for the past two years with no issues. HELP before I pull all my hair out!!!!

not sure, is the silonoid on the starter like a chevy, or on the firewall like a ford (not a chrysler person.) if it is on the firewall it may be bad (though you sound as if you would know that without me) Has the flywheel been damaged, or in a bind? can you roll it off?
