1984 Jeep Wrangler floor mounted dimmer switch

Yes it can be done. See my profile. Neighbor put a 2 position swich on his dash, left of steering wheel, inches? Down from windshield separation. Can tell/ help you more. Possible take pic and post if you want.I ask you as I asked him. WHY?

RON, My neighbor, Ron, is an electrician. He has a 1983 CJ 7.(I am a plumber, but have and done many CJ modifications on mine and others) I will take PIC really soon of his set-up. Wiring this is REALLY a NO-BRAINER. Will show you this also in a pic. Verify your Jeeps NOMENCLATURE. Unclear in post.

His switch mounted Left and right.

I WOULD HAVE IT LOW down....HIGH up!!!

What I show can be removed and put back original w/ no cut wires!!!

OUTER 2 wires are SWAPPABLE they will just swap H and L on the actual switch......turning the switch around does same thing.

I would have installed an angle bracket under dash w/ switch, Ron don't care about hole, look at his speaker!
