I installed a manual oil pressure guage thinking that the electric guage was faulty. It reads the same. When it is cold it is 40lbs at idle and 70 lbs at highway speed. After it is warm it reads 5 lbs. at idle,,almost 20 at highway speed. It uses no oil,,sounds and runs well. Oil is changed every 2500 miles. Please help

sounds normal when your oil is cold it take more pressure to pump then when it warms up and the viscosity wearrs down as long as you dont have any valve train noise dont worry about it if you add a quart of lucas oil additive that will also help
