I was having an issue with my dash light going out occasionally (also my AC gauge lights that control air flow into the jeep). I would jiggle the headlight knob and the dash lights would come back on. After replacing my stereo (after it was stolen, soft tops have their disadvantages) the dash lights turned off all together. I came to find out later when I was being trailed by my girlfriend that my tail lights were out as well.

I've replaced the head light switch box, changed all blown fuses and still no action on the dash or tail lights.

PLEASe help

Thanks,

Seth

Hi Seth,

Thank you for the donation and sorry for the delay in replying.

You have an issue with the taillight and interior illuminations which are in the same circuit.

With lighting switch turned ON, test if you have battery voltage at terminal #9 ( Black/Yellow wire ). Battery voltage should be present.

If no voltage is present, test terminal # 4 ( Tan/Black wire) and if voltage is present, the switch is faulty. Was the lighting switch replaced new or used?

If voltage is available, check Fuse # 1 (20 A ) in fuse box. Check continuity btween fuse and lighting switch if fuse is good and has voltage at both ends.
