see my profile..........ME CJ GUY.......will hump over tranny come off to access tranny, as in CJs ? If so can you remove top of tranny to inspect bottom end of shifter?(test its operation in a vise, to determine if its shifter or deeper into tranny)........move gears, w/ fingers as if were shift forks, remember only 1 fork moves at a time......MAKE SURE shifter + gears are in original locations for reassembly.......sounds scary, gotta learn sometime !!! BE CAREFUL ----CHOCK WHEELS----REMOVE POS BATT CABLE.....no accidental cranking or rolling gear movements. I'm here if I can help steer you all I'm able........Those PESKY 4X4 sales magazines you get in mail, may show you tranny exploded views to aid in broke stuff I.D.

Love, Turddog
