I can crank up on a cool morning and it will run perfect and has fooled many shops and mechanic's. I can leave the shop after getting it warmed up and having to sit in road construction at a idle. I can feel my car miss, then the rough idle starts. I opened my car door and it smells like un-burned gas and is smoking. I am sure because the gas is not being burned. I have actually had to pull over because when trying to proceed in traffic, it would not even pull off because of the flooded situation. Code came up, pulled into a shop and he said it was showing 0-2 sensor, but that was because it was running so rich. He did not think that is it. We have new plugs, coil pack, crank sensor, fuel filter, and the last shop yesterday put in a cam sensor. On the way home I broke down because it was missing so bad. Have not re-placed map sensor or 0/2 sensor. I Love my car, but I have an eight year old child and I might die in traffic, but I do not want my child to even ride with me. This is my family car and has been kept up well. Please help me. I cannot keep buying parts and paying shops and not even make it home!

Have you tried any of the stuff that I previously suggested? Like the harness being looked at where I said? What is fuel pressure? And does it have a good vacuum supply to regulator.

I have not had a chance to speak with the mechanic now looking at it? He apparently is having difficulty troubleshooting it too because I have not gotten a call about my Jeep ! Thought this guy would have figured it out / I will be calling Monday morning however to find out the answers to the questions you have ask !

Okay, well print them so you get it right. From what you have written it sounds like the car starts again after stalling so I think it may be okay, but I cannot see it so it makes a difference.

I left the shop with my Jeep running good & noticed my transmission was not shifting out until around 3000 RPM's & in normally shifted out perfectly at about 1200 to 1500 RPM's? Took it back to the shop that found the O/2 sensor bad & he said I probably just needed a filter & fluid change so I agreed ! I was called by the shop to let me know this did not take care of the problem so they dropped the pan again & put a transducer & Govener pressure solenoid in the transmission with the assurance this would take care of the problem, "It Did Not"? I had $500 for work done & parts that I paid on Thanksgiving Eve & a Jeep that I could not drive anywhere scared it would damage the transmission or motor ! I waited for a transmission shop to open back up on Monday after Thanksgiving & had them to look at it ! The owner of the shop within less than 10 min. Said that I was not going to believe what my problem was? I had a small rock stuck in the cable running from the engine to the transmission not letting the cable slide freely so my transmission could shift ! He took the small rock out & said Merry Christmas you do not owe us anything ! Its shifting & running perfectly, but I have learned from this experience that sometimes we look too deep & don't check the basics or less obvious things ! The rock was most likely picked up in the test driving at the shop that was getting engine running straightened out. Small town & lots of dirt roads ! I never drove my Jeep on dirt roads !
