89 jeep comanche, need to hold key forward

i have an 89 comanche pioneer, it will stall when i release the key after starting. If i hold the key forward it will stay running until i release it. thanks for any help

The ignition circuit in the ignition switch is open its bad-the reason why it starting on the start postion because the start feed circuit is powering the ignition circuit in the switch. Get a fresh switch and have a nice day.
