I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (Inline 6) with 157,000 miles on it.
Yesterday, I drove about 24 miles, let it sit in a parking lot while I attended my son's event at school and when I tried to start it (sitting there for about an hour or so) it wouldn't start. The engine would keep turning but it wouldn't start - no clicking noise that would indicate it was the starter. I tried several times and if it started, it would shut off after a few seconds. When it started, no engine lights were coming up either. Got it towed to the shop, battery is ok, they confirmed there was spark, they run computer diagnostics and no codes were showing. Since the fuel filter was replaced recently, they told me it seemed like the fuel pump was the problem... today, they replaced it along with a fuel sensor of some kind and after finishing the job the car still wouldn't start...
They wanted to replace the MAP sensor but I told them not to. I'm arranging for it to be towed to the Jeep dealership but before I did that, I'm wondering if anyone here had the same problem and could shed some light to my problem.
Thanks so much.
Patricia
