I been having to constantly fill my coolant reservoir every time I leave for in the morning and by the time I get to work the reservoir is nearly empty I commute78 miles one way to and from work. I took my Jeep grand Cherokee to a local mechcanic and he said my coolant was leaking into my engine and mixing withe the oil and in time will render my engine no good? My mechcanic would not go into detail so this is why I need more answers; can you help me.

Head gaskets and warped heads are common on the inline 4.0. If you are second guessing the diagnosis there is a tool you can buy that will tell you if exhaust gases are entering your cooling system. Its called a block tester and its fairly easy to use. Instructions do come with the tool. It basically takes a purple color liquid in a chamber you connect it to the radiator with the cap off. Then start the vehicle pull a vacuum with the plunger provided. If the purple liquid turns yellow then you have an internal leak somewhere in the engine.
