2000 Other Jeep Models auto temp box

I just replaced the auto temp control box, don't know the excat name, but it controls the auto temp. Worked well for about 10 min. and then stoped.?? What could be wrong? Black and red go in, and black and red and striped come out, that's it. No brainer, but it stoped working within 10 min. By the way the old one shorted out. Thanks for your time and effort on this problem..
