I have a 99 Grand Cherokee 4.0 I went to get in and noticed a puddle of coolent on the ground. Most of my coolent had leaked out and it is still leaking. The jeep has not overheated or driven any different. Last week the low coolent indicator came on I added some coolent. What is the cause for this major leak. And about how much should I pay for the repairs? Please help

Hi there,

you will need to go get a cooling system pressure test to identify this leak, let me know what it is and I can advise on an approx cost of repairs.

Thank you so much, I don't know much about cars and I live in a new city and this repair im afriad is going to set me back. About a 3 years ago the jeep was overheating and I replaced the fan and the sensor. About once every couple months I have to add coolant.I really hope this isn't expensive.
Ok it turns out the leak is from the water pump and needs to be replaced its gonna cost 370. Is that a good price
