1998 Other Jeep Models Power not gettin to the fuel pump

1998 Other Jeep Models V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

recently changed the fuel pump and it did start a cple times then didn't so went n got a replacement and fuel pump works but no power is gettin back to the fuel pump. The gas gauge is reading the tank is empty when it is not. What should I check/change? This is for a 1998 5.9 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Check fuse no.16 20amp and Test fuel pump relay
