1996 Other Jeep Models change

hi i have a 4.ltre grand cherokee with dana35 rear axle if i change this to a axle from a 5.2litre v8 which is also a dana 35 what sort of problem would i have if the ratio was different there both 1996 model and may be the same ratio i,m not shore please help thanks jim
