1995 Other Jeep Models over heating

I have a grand cherokee first it was shaking as if the fuel filter was clogged and it started over heating I changed the fuel filter the shaking still happens and the over heat problem is still there any suggestions? also is this two seperate problems or are they the same problem.

The shake could be that it needs a tune-up or engine mounts. Overheating could be the thermostat.
