1994 Other Jeep Models Wont turn over - no noise

1994 Jeep GC Laredo, AWD, has driven fine til yesterday. Everything electrical works when key turned to auxiliary, but won't turn over.
Interior lights stay on constantly. Had to disconnect battery to turn them off.
What could this be?

did yiou try jump starting it? does it have a alarm system(look under dash for a toggle switch or a small push button) let us know
