Yea I paid 1,300 drs for a new trans from autozone, had it installed, double checked everything, and long story short, after only driving not even 30 miles, the trans fluid smells like burnt popcorn and something real bad. It has no over drive, the overdrive button on the dashboard doesnt work, the light comes on but nothing happens when you press it. It seems to go ok through the first 3 gears, but when im driving 60 the rpm's are at like 3 and 4, and thats bad, so what do you think couldve happened to this shitty failed transmission, could soemthing like this be fixed, I already have a new trans on order, but I was just curious to see if this problem I have now could be fixed.

Hi there,

Thanks for the donation,

I think that this transmission is toast. It may be part salvageable but I feel that there was a serious error in the over haul, you should not have to pay a cent to get back on the road, I would flight for labour costs as well.
