The CV joints have gone on my Grand Cherokee 1993 with ABS, how difficult is it ot replace this whole assembly and what is a good source to purchase these parts.
Also will I need any specialized tools.

I would just replace the whole CV axle. You would need tools that the average person would have except for maybe a 32mm axle socket, 1/2" drive wrench and multi-purpose grease. Changing the CV joint itself requires specialized tools. Call around in your to find the parts and ask if they have detailed instructions to installing them.
