1986 Other Jeep Models Wont move

Transmission problem
1986 Other Jeep Models V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Yong girl drives Grand Cherokee and last time she drove it it made a lowed bang. after work she started it and placed in Drive and it did not move. any thoughts of what might be the problem? I have never worked on a jeep before. Her Dad just installed anew radiator in it?

HI there,

If it will not drive in 2X4 or 4X4 you may have damaged the transfer, see if the tail shaft is tuning in 4X2 (rear shaft) if it is check the rear diff.
