On two different occasions, the jeep would not go into gear when I pushed in the clutch. I had to pull off the road (in neutral) and turn the car off. When restarted, it would work. First time only happened once. Second time, happened three or four time in one evening. Both times I had been driving on beach. Jeep dealer said could have been sand intrusion but I have had several other people tell me that is impossible.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

I sand response is a cop out, tell me how the clutch pedal pressure feels under foot? Firm all the way and normally how far up is the pedal when drive is taken up? Also just get the clutch fluid level check and also the transmission oil level & oil condition checked as well, let me know what you find.
