my engine code comes up p1491, but is not overheating. i did notice some smoke from under the hood. i have not driven it since the problem started. is it just the fan relay?

DTC P1491 : Radiator Fan Control Relay Circuit

Possible Causes:

Intermitten Condition

Ground Circuit

Fused B+ Output Circuit

Radiator Fan Relay Control Circuit

PCM



Most suspected cause would be faulty / sticking control relay.
