2002 Jeep Liberty Automatic 124000 miles

My oil light comes on when I brake, but will go off when I accelerate. What could be the issue?

It started when I was due for an oil change. I got the oil change and it still is happening.

You want to rule out low oil pressure so have pressure checked with a mechanical gague. If good replace switch.
