2004 Jeep Laredo Rear Noises: Axle

2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO
155,834 MILES • 6 CYL • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

At the advice of local Jeep dealer we changed the rear axle due to squealing noises on both sides. The noise did not go away. When ordering our part: the dealers told us that there we back orders for 15 rear axles for 2004 Jeeps. This seems to be their problem: any suggestions.

Hi there,

I can find no Tech service bulletin on this type of problem, i suggest that you get this dealer to explain there reasoning for replacing the axles.
