Engine Cooling problem
2003 Jeep Laredo 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 90.000 miles

MY TEMP GAGE KEEPS GOING UP WHEN I IDLE AFTER I HAVE DRIVEN FOR AWHILE I HAD RAD/ CAP CHANGED ASLO THEMOSAT IS NEW WHILE I AM DRIVING IS STAY JUST BELOW THE HALF WAY MARK. IF I STOP FOR MORE THAN 6 MONS OR SO IT GOES UP PASS THE HALFWAY MARK I NEVER SEE A WARNING LIGHT OR WATER ON THE GROUND AND IT NEVER SMELLS HOT. THIS HAS JUST STARTED THIS WEEK THE AIR CONDITIONER IS COOL. I TRY NOT TO RUN IT WITH THIS PROBLEM AND IT IS TO HOT FOR THAT THANKS

since it happens when the ac is turned on i would make sure the second fan is working and the fan shroud is not craccked, that is the main thing to keep the vehicle cold when idling.
