Recently had a major tune-up on the jeep and had the oil pressure sensor replaced due to the gauge fluctuating on the low side. About a week later, while driving we hear the chimes that usually happen when you're seat belt is not hooked. There are no lights on the dash and the gauges are all perfect. It seems to reoccur intermittently each time we drive the jeep. I did notice a "very" quick flash on the overhead computer "to fill the winshield washer fluid" which I did. But, it still chimes. Wondering if the sensors are wering out?

You need to get your vehicle scanned to see if there is any stored codes in your computer, this may tell you what is happening. If there are no stored codes, then you may want to get your computer or Body Control Module checked out to make sure they are functioning properly. You can check them yourself but you will need a wiring diagram from a repair manual to do this and even if they are showing good, the problem can be intermittent and not show up, that is why it is a good thing to take it to a dealer to have them looked at. If they show up good, then the fault may very well be in a sensor. If your guages have been acting up especially more than one periodically, then the likely candidate is your Body Control Module, they are $400 new at a dealer and $35-$50 at a junk yard. Hope this insight was helpful for you. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to post them.
