My GC will roll when in park and the reverse will not work. You can feel it go into reverse but it does not move right when you press the gas.
I have an extended warranty and took it to the dealer. The first thing the warranty co asked was if i did the 60000 mi maintenance. I did not but did a 4x4 fluid maintenance. The now want 400 to tear down the tranny and they are going to send out an inspector to check to see if the issue was maintenance related. The dealer said there was metal particles in the pan and he believes the torque converter needs replacing. He said the tranny needs to be rebuild at a price of 2600 - 3000. I asked which codes were produced and he said there were no codes. I have a funny feeling about this place and I would like some elses opinion. Please let me know what the problem could be and if youthink I should get a rebuild.
