I cannot locate the flasher unit which controls the turn directional unit. The hazard lights work fine. I have an intermintent problem with the directionals.
After the car warms up considerably and I restart it, the signals will usually work fine. When the car is cold they will not work. Tried cleaning all the grounds. Still do not work properly. Want to replace the flasher unit but cannot find it. It is not attached to back of the console fuse box as in earlier models. Please help!
Thank you.

It could be one of a few things. It is usually the relay though. I am not sure which laredo you speak of but if it is a G.C, check the kick panel by the bottom front floor boards(this is on the bottom inner wall by the floor boards up near the front) if there is not a round type relay flasher unit, look under the hood, there should be a fuse and relay plastic box with a lid clipped on and all of your major wires going to and from it, on the bottom side of the lid should be a digram that is labeled describing what each relay is for and in what order for the power control unit(fuse box). If the relay is not your issue, you will need to do some further investigating, let us know if you need any further assistance.
