How long does a starter usually last? We replaced ours in July 07 with a jeep part. Car is now acting like it might need a new one. Diehard battery is only 5 months old so shouldn't be battery.

Hi there,

A starter should last many years, check that all the electrical connections are clean and tight, you may have a voltage drop problem.
