my car was stalling and cutting off, i replaced the (tps) throttle position sensor and the car runs better, it doesn't cut off, however i also had a check engine light for the cat, the car will hessitate while driving and stopped, is that th result of the cat

Hi:
The converter will cause a loss of power, poor running conditions, and poor fuel economy. You should be able to tell if it is plugging. Listen for hissing or clanking which would indicate internal damage.
