If you have not taken it to a shop to make sure that there isn't anything that is worn out out like ball joints, tierods, etc, then I would suggest taking it to find out before making any "adjustments". If you have already done this and it is only your steering gear box that is loose, then you can look down on your steering box and you will see a nut on the top. Loosen the nut and turn the middle screw clockwise in 1/4 increments until your steering feels tighter. Once a steering gear box is loose, even doing this manual adjustment may not help. If this does not help, then you will need to replace it. Also, make sure that you know how much play your steering is supposed to have before doing anything because Jeeps will feel loose because of the roller bearing system that they use. Thegear box will cost between $120-$160 usually and if you do not know how to put it on, it could cost a pretty penny.
