1996 Jeep Laredo 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my jeep is making a whistling noise sounds like it is sucking in air which has cause it to lose pressure and want gain speed. it is running about 5-7 miles even with the the gas pedal at the way to the floor

What you describe could be a plugged exhaust (cat converter) . Try loosening the exhaust before the cat (at the bottom of the exhaust manifold and drive it, if the exhaust is plugged it will accelerate
