1995 Jeep Laredo transmission problems

i just put a transmission in my jeep and its shifting just like the old one. i have to manually shift it through the gears and the old one done the same thing. what can cause this problem

wiring to a shift sensor is probably the culprit, check the wiring harnesses to the tranny.
