1988 Jeep Laredo Fuid Dumping

My Jeep has suddenly started to overheat very quickly. When it stops, and when I put the Jeep in park and turn it off, smoke comes from under the hood, and it dumps the water and coolant from below the vehicle. The coolant also boils over the overflow tank. Note, that it dumps the fluids when the car is put in park and it turned off.

The reason for boiling when it is off is because the water is sitting still (not circulating) and begins to boil if the engine is too hot. Have you tried replacing the thermostat?
