Electrical problem
1989 Jeep Comanche 6 cyl

I bought a 1989 jeep comanche the ignition switch was bypassed. It had a push button. The truck starts and runs well with switch. I hate the switch. I took it out and reattached wires. I replaced ignition switch. I replaced relay. This relay has one post and an f, s, i, and g terminals. When I put the key in the dash lights come on and everthing seems fine until I get to the start position. Nothing happens it does not even try to turn over. If I touch the positive battery cable at relay to the starter wire at relay the truck starts fine. I tested the ignition (I) wire at the relay and had someone try to turn it over and still nothing.

Can't read diagram. Make it larger?

No Power going to neutral start switch. I checked at plug and from relay. No power. What does coil side open mean? Which green wire? They are the same color. What is it connected to? I do not know which one goes to the ignition switch. Are there any other stops between the relay and the ignition switch?

For Automatic Transmission

Do this find the gear switch on the left side of transmission, have helper hold key at starting position and check for power on the black and white wire -nothing here could be the starter relay coil side is open ,the green wire is open back to the ignition switch or the ignition switch itself.

When you short out the batt terminal wire and the dark green wire this will cause the starter to engage the engine-which is your case-.

I need a diagram. I have not yet recieved one that I can read. The print is too small. Send to my email please. Mooredonald25@yahoo. Com I need to know which green wire, there are two. What terminal on the relay does the ignition switch connect to? From the point where the green wire goes from the switch to the relay is there any other component in the path of this wire? In the beginning I replaced the ignition switch and the starter relay.
