1987 Jeep Comanche ENGINE

In a 1986 Jeep Comanche which has a 6cyl.2.8L engine with auto trans. Would I be able to put a 6cyl 4.0L in this Jeep?

You probably could but it would be a ton of work. If memory serves me right the 2.8 was a GMengine and if it was you may be able to put a 3.4L engine from a camaro in it. But make sure to measure everything correctly. You woud also have to get your torque converter balanced for the 3.4 or maybe a camaro one would work. That would be the easiest if you want to upgrade.
