1983 Jeep CJ7 oil leak

I have a cj7 with a amc 360 in it and every time I run it it runs fin but when I stop and let it sit it leaks oil underneith at first I thought it was the rearmain but in leaks all over underneith and drips from the driveline and all over? Any ideas? Thanks

Hi there,

You will have to wash it down and go for a drive, then get underneath and check for fresh leaks, they should not be that hard to see, start here.

See my profile, Try a pump up sprayer w/ purple power cleaner, Rinse well, then find you a real dusty dirt road. After a good drive up and down it several times, take it home and look for the OILY, DUSTY spots.
