In recent past have you monkeyed with their wires? Have installed several of my own gauges, many more for others............Have several books w/ diagrams.....If monkey was involved, can help you identify correct wires for each gauge..........If you did hook the wrong stuff up, you may have FRIED one or both gauges.....OR EVEN gas tank sending unit(more work)....79 AMC service manual I have shows how to OHM all pegs on gauges to see if they are still servicable...........A manual would be helpful on your end, just to let you see what terminals (their I.D.) I tell you to test w/ a digital voltmeter........Speedo is a BACKBREAKER TO REMOVE, if replacing your gauges..........SOME MANUALS show frt. view of gauges, most show rear view...........can test w/out removal.......be prepared to rig up a mirror on some sort of stand........maybe a minimag w/ top screwed off inserted into mass of wiring to see by.........Most importantly, working on stuff in mirror w/out getting confused or backwards.....can talk you thru this...must follow instructions to a tee, no guessing must be sure of our results or ask again, will try to explain different way to you.......no want to fry your stuff,G.I.........SEE MY PROFILE.......Are you game.???!!!......next reply must know ALL capabilities on your end........Manual? Name of it?.......Can you POSITIVELY identify correct wires from each beginning location?....what you or your mentally retarded friend has done( Always blame this friend for all mess-ups. We will refer to him, as SCAPEGOAT [SG])........I type slow...... can send pics(have old speedo in box to make pics).....I check site frequently...........Love, Turddog
