1978 Jeep CJ7 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

How do I adjust the carbuerator on my jeep. it is running rich and using lots of gas.

How do you know its coming from the Carb? -If so close both A/F mix screw then back it out 2 full turns now start the vehicle -adjust curb idle screw to correct rpm-now start closing the mix screw one at time till the engine starts misfiring stop then back out 1/4 turn do the same for the screw-now adjust idle speed screw to correct rpm
