There is a Loud squeeling & knocking from around timing cover, of course it is hard to tell exactly where
it is coming from for sure, but in that general location.
The engine cranks and idles on it's own, but this squeel and knock is unbearable, it's that load.
any suggestions on where to start, or the possible culprit?

take all the drive belts off and start the engine for a minute or two.
(remember the water pump will not be running, so it will over heat fast)

if the noise is still there, then you know it's inside the engine.

if it goes away then put the belts back on, one at a time and restart each time a new belt is put on.
