Only happened twice. When the engine was cold. About 2 miles into my early moring trip to work. It looses all fire or ignition. Just dies liken you turnn the key off. I pull over and stop. Turn the ignition off. Turn ignition back on cranks right up. No further problem for rest of trip. Could it be a solid state modulator like the gm trucks had of that era? They only gave me problems when hot tho. Thanks for any assistance. Deciated jeep owner Cajunator

Next time it dies out -do below immediately to determine if its fuel or spark problem

Disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors- Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
