BRAKE shake

Easy on the caps, I can hear you.

Not knowing what vehicle you have makes it a little tougher to help due to charactersics of some of them.
Thus this note before you posted.

If you have a grand cherokee I have seen dampner cause what you are describing, but from higher speeds typically.

Perhaps this is coming from rear rotors? That was why I asked of there was any difference whatsoever in the before and after effects.

What speeds is this happening at. Thruway? short stop and go?

What vehicle?




HAs the shake changed whatsoever after your work compared to before? Sometimes you can get a bad rotor, but it will change a little from before and after.

Did you clean the hub surface before putting on the rotors?

happens at any speed-as soon as i touch the pedal. I did NOT CLEAN the surface before installing it. I didnt know i had to because it it NEW.

What kind a car you have sweetheart? I Think Mr. Service Guy meant the surface that the new rotor mounts to, silly. I think you need to answer on if there were a change too. Us girls are a whole lot better at communicatin :wink:

When i apply the brakes, the front drivers side shakes violently. I replaced the Rotor and pads. That did NOT fix the problem.... HELP !!! :x

the vehicle is a 90 Cherokee Loredo 6 cylinder 220,000 miles. There is very little change with the new parts.

Since there was some change, you may have bought new rotors that are warped, it does happen. Also the above may still be possible.

Hey rocc,
A loose/worn tie rod end or ball joint can also cause this condition.
