2000 Jeep grand cherokee 90k miles. My anti-theft light (the one with a circle and slash through a key) keeps turning on on my dash. It doesn't affect the performance when I'm driving. What is that telling me. The manual tells me to restart the engine to reset the computer. Is that all or is there a bigger problem looming (maybe need a new computer or other electrical malfunctions)?

Hey jeepman,
It's very possible there is a problem in the anti theft system and its not triggering it into anti theft mode. I would definitely get it scanned for codes and diagnosis before it leads to bigger issues!
